Digital Stories
University of Arizona Graduate Research Fellows Cristina Urias Espinoza, Charles McMartin, and Liliana Toledo Guzmán have created these StoryMaps as an example of how you might apply computational and traditional humanities methods to interpret the corpus of primary resources provided through Border Hub | Centro fronterizo.
Their three StoryMaps offer a historical and critical eye on Americanization in the Arizona-Sonora borderlands through the lenses of education, migration, and music. Click on "Digital Projects" in the banner above to open the drop down menu.
- The Americanization of Tucson Public Schools
- "The Amiable Invasion of Old Mexico Will Begin:" John Philip Sousa in Tucson, 1922
- Media Attacks: U.S. Land Investors and the Shaping of Ethnic Mexican Stereotypes and Racial Discrimination in Revolutionary Mexico, 1910-1920
